Postdoctoral positions in disrupted RNA metabolism driving cancer2024 November 19, Postdoctoral positions are available on NIH funded research projects to study how RNA metabolism is dysregulated in cancer by the Borden Lab at the Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago. The Feinberg School of Medicine is located in the center of downtown Chicago. The aim of the Borden lab is to understand disrupted RNA metabolism in cancer with a focus on acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We are dissecting novel mechanisms related to RNA splicing, nuclear export and translation and how these contribute to cancer cell biology with a focus on cell motility. Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent with strong research experience in RNA biology; although PhD students close to completion can also apply. Applicants with experience in confocal microscopy, RNA sequencing methods, biochemistry and associated bioinformatics analysis are encouraged to apply. Interested applicants should submit a complete CV, a brief description of their research achievements and interests, and the name and contact details for three referees to: Applications will be reviewed immediately until suitable candidates are identified. |
