Candidates with a range of experiences will be considered, including synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, and/or RNA biochemistry/molecular biology. Competitive candidates will also have experience/specific interest in mentoring graduate and undergraduate student researchers. The Hargrove Lab is broadly interested in the molecular recognition of RNA and its implications in the development of small molecule chemical probes and drug candidates. Lab members benefit from a range of colleagues' chemical and biological backgrounds, and collaboration both within and outside of the laboratory is a key component of success. Researchers will be directly mentored by Professor Amanda Hargrove within state-of-the-art facilities in the newly opened Science Building at the Mississauga campus (UTM). This position is an excellent opportunity for motivated and collaborative researchers seeking interdisciplinary training in a rapidly expanding field.
