Postdoc position to study RNA structure and dynamics2024 October 18, A fully funded postdoctoral position is immediately available in Sarah Keane’s laboratory in the Department of Chemistry and Program in Biophysics at the University of Michigan to investigate structure and dynamics of functional noncoding RNAs and RNPs. We use an array of biochemical and biophysical techniques to characterize RNA structure, RNA-RNA, RNA-protein, and RNA-small molecule interactions. We seek a highly motivated postdoc with a positive outlook, experience in RNA biochemistry and/or structural biology, and the adaptability to quickly learn new skills. Successful applicants should hold (or will obtain shortly) a Ph.D. in: Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Previous experience in a research laboratory and writing papers are essential. Skills that are desired, but not required, include experience with biomolecular NMR (proteins or nucleic acids). Projects are tailored to the skills and interests of the individual. More information about the lab can be found on our website (http://sites.lsa.umich.edu/keane-lab/).
