Post-doctoral Positions – Epigenetic Crosstalk in Neurodevelopment and Neurodegenerative Diseases2024 November 12, The laboratory of Dr. Yini Li in the Borch Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue University is seeking two Postdoctoral Researchers (Fellows) with a keen interest in epigenetic crosstalk (i.e., RNA modifications, regulatory RNAs, and chromatin regulation) in normal neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative diseases. Our wet/dry hybrid laboratory employs a wide range of tools, including molecular biology, functional genomics, multi-omics, and bioinformatics, to investigate how epigenetic crosstalk promotes normal neurodevelopment and how dysregulation of these factors contributes to neurodegeneration. Position 1: RNA Biology and Bioinformatics The successful candidate will have a strong interest in RNA biology and bioinformatics. A Ph.D. in bioinformatics, biology, neuroscience, or equivalent fields with robust data analysis skills is required. Preferred experience includes:
Position 2: RNA Biology, Neuroscience, and Neurodegenerative Diseases The successful candidate will have a strong interest in RNA biology, neuroscience, and/or neurodegenerative diseases. A Ph.D. in biology, neuroscience, or equivalent fields with molecular biology skills is required. Preferred experience includes:
Strong writing and communication skills, ability to establish clear goals, and strong organizational and prioritization skills are critical for both postions. The research is conducted at Purdue University, West Lafayette (Main) Campus, Indiana. Purdue is one of the world’s top-ranked research universities and is among the top 10 most innovative schools in the US. To Apply: Applicants should send a cover letter detailing their research interests, a CV, and contact information for three references via email to [email protected]. |
